GSI Insurance Partners Generosity A Boost for Kairūri Community Trust

GSI Insurance Partners, long term supporters of the Kairūri Community Trust, have once again shown their dedicated support for the future of the survey and spatial sector with a very generous donation of $11,500.

KCT Trust Chair, Simon Jellie says, “the Trust is thrilled to receive GSI Insurance Partners’ support once again. Although our operation has been affected by COVID-19 this year with the cancellation of events, this and previous donations are highly valued and greatly appreciated. They allow the Trust to continue building a legacy that our young professionals gain benefit from both now and in the future. The Trustees are looking to raise the profile of donation opportunities in 2021 and, in the short term will be establishing a survey and spatial scholarship targeting improved diversity in the profession.

“Earlier this year we had some changes to our KCT Trustees”, says Simon, “long-term Chair Bill Robertson stepped down, handing his mantle and David Fox, also a founding Trustee, passed his Trustee role to Kathryn Sandford. Jayne Perrin remains as the third trustee”.

The Kairūri Community Trust was first set up in 2016 to foster the future of the surveying and spatial community. The purpose of the trust is to benefit the profession and the community and create a legacy for the future. The Trustees’ objective is to build up awareness, grow and educate the public on the surveying and spatial community. This future focus gives benefactors the opportunity to provide educational scholarships, support inclusive school programmes, foster diversity and encourage the next generation of surveying and spatial professionals.
