This is an interactive workshop with industry specific examples and case studies. It will give attendees a good overview of Health and Safety legislation and requirements along with a range of tips and techniques to take back to your own workplace.
The workshop will provide an understanding of the following:

Recent and upcoming changes to the Health and Safety Act and Regulations
How to apply the Directors’ Guidelines for all companies ranging from small business to large corporations
Risk and how it applies to your business
Worksafe NZ strategies
Practical application of applying legislation to a case study “when the proverbial hits the fan”.

With over 17 years’ experience in all aspects of health and safety, Tony is a successful health and safety practitioner. He has an excellent understanding of the effect that an inadequate safety culture can have on a company and work place. Tony’s experience as a Governmental Safety Inspector has given him the aptitude to see both sides – the regulatory and the practical. Tony also has very good understanding of the regulations and standards required to meet Health and Safety best practice requirements.
