This seminar will explain the planning process required within the Resource Management Act, the aim of which is to promote the sustainable management of natural and physical resources. The roles and duties of Government, regional council and local council are examined as well as resource consent activities, the resource consent process, and pathway a resource consent application takes through appropriate planning channels.
