New S+SNZ President Appointed!

Incoming S+SNZ President, Andrew Perry

Our new President, Andrew Perry, was elected at the recent 2022 Annual General Meeting.

Andrew has been heavily involved with Survey and Spatial New Zealand throughout his career, as a student member while at university, a Wellington Branch executive member, and a founding member and President of the Young Professionals Group. Since moving to Tauranga, Andrew has been an executive member of the Rotorua/Bay of Plenty Branch and was appointed Branch Chair in 2017, a position he held until March 2021. He was elected to the S+SNZ Council in January 2020 and has served on Council through to appointment as Vice President, and most recently, President. Andrew says “I look forward to serving our members over the next couple of years as President and carrying on the great work led by our outgoing President Kathryn Salm."

Outgoing President Dr. Kat Salm who led S+SNZ for 3 years

Dr. Kat Salm's term ended at the AGM after 3 years of being President. Kat has led our Council and organisation very successfully through some extremely tough times, achieved so much - especially in the Spatial sector, and has made some truly incredible contributions.

We also welcome two new Council Members, Nicki Shaw, our new Young Professionals representative and Mike Stott, our new CSNZ representative.

S+SNZ has a large number of dedicated members and relies heavily on the support and expertise of many volunteers who give their time and energy to a variety of committees and governing bodies.
