NZIS advocates for prioritisation of ASaTS funding in letter to Minister of Finance
NZIS has written to the Minister of Finance – the Hon. Grant Robertson, highlighting the growing risk of the current Landonline system. The letter sets out the urgent need to prioritise funding of the Advanced Survey and Title Systems (to replace Landonline) that is critical to the delivery of land titles and new houses.
We have also sent a copy of this letter to the Minister of Housing and Urban Development – the Hon.Phil Twyford, as it explains how ASaTS will significantly contribute to resolving the housing crisis. We have also alerted the LINZ Minister – the Hon. Eugenie Sage, and the LINZ CEO – Andrew Crisp.
NZIS Council and the Board are also progressing a strategy around increasing our profession’s profile and visibility around key issues for our sector, such as the housing crisis.
