Most surveyors are familiar with easements and land covenants, and their role in subdivisions. Most are also familiar with consent notices, amalgamation conditions, and other RMA tools. Sometimes, however, it is necessary to dig deeper.
This webinar will expand on a presentation at the 2019 SSNZ conference to cover a legal perspective on matters that end up on titles when a subdivision is complete, and some of the key issues to consider so a surveyor can add greater value to the subdivision process. It will combine practical comments with consideration of recent case law.
All those involved in subdivision and land development should attend.

Thomas Gibbons is a Director at McCaw Lewis. He has qualifications in law and planning. Thomas has held various roles outside the firm, such as with Property Council New Zealand, Survey & Spatial New Zealand, the Waikato Regional Housing Network, and the NZLS Property Transactions Committee. He has presented conference papers and published articles within New Zealand and internationally.
