Professional development for younger members.
One of the priorities of Survey and Spatial NZ is the
professional development of the young people who will be our industry
leaders in the years ahead, and we’re aware of the need for our sector
to keep evolving and adapting to the modern needs of members and
the public.
The new Survey and Spatial NZ's Young Professionals Emerging Leader's Programme is an exciting step toward this goal - it allows young members the opportunity to be involved in the governing bodies of our organisation. This dynamic professional development programme was formed in 2021 and is run exclusively by the Survey and Spatial Young Professionals Division. The goal is to identify and encourage the growth of industry leaders who have the passion and drive to contribute to the growth and success of the sector within New Zealand, establishing a reputation for excellence nationally.
Young professionals taking part will have an opportunity to gain direct insight into the inner workings of S+SNZ across a wide range of disciplines or governance committees. The opportunity of working with passionate professionals working for the betterment of our industry is valuable for professional development and for the future of the industry. Participants in the programme will gain experience in different disciplines, policy and decision-making, and governance.
