Kirsty completed a degree in Geography (BSc Hons) with international study at the University of Manchester, where she used GIS and remote sensing for Geomorphometric analysis. The International Study component of her degree she completed at the University of Auckland, where she undertook her honours research at Fox Glacier. Through this she did ground-based photogrammetry that led her into the world of Reality Capture and Surveying.
She has worked as a Survey Technician focused on Reality Capture from laser scanning and photogrammetry devices for a small BIM focused company, and in survey section at a large engineering consultancy. She now is a business development manager for Leica reality capture technology.
