Two pilot workshops presented by S+SNZ and LINZ were held in Hawkes Bay in October. The first workshop was for local and regional council staff, such as planners and engineers, who deal with spatial information, consenting and approval processes. The workshop gave an overview of NZVD2016, why it is important, examples from the Hawkes Bay area, and how to implement the datum.
The second session on 3 October was more technically focussed for council staff, private sector engineering, surveying and spatial professionals who would like more information on the practical application of the NZVD2016.
The presentations are available on the LINZ website.
