Two New Staff Members Welcomed at National Office

Introducing Our New Team Members!

INTRODUCING NEW NATIONAL OFFICE TEAM MEMBERS

After an exhaustive search process, we have now appointed two new members to the National Office Team in order to enhance our capacity in two critical areas:

Professional Development Manager: Stevie Winikerei

Stevie is an Award-Winning Learning & Organisational Development Leader and comes to us with over 17 years of experience spanning engineering, human resources, and organisational leadership. He is a seasoned professional recognised for driving impactful workforce transformations and his background includes roles in the New Zealand Defence Force, Royal New Zealand Navy, and within the Public Service. He holds an MSc in Engineering & Management and his credentials include Chartered Manager status and Project Management Professional certification, specialising in spearheading strategic national initiatives.

Stevie will be taking over management of the S+SNZ Certification Programme as well as developing our CPD offerings for all members.

Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement Manager: Kat Salm

Kat is no stranger to Survey and Spatial NZ, having been involved in representative roles within the organisation for over ten years – most recently as President. Kat comes to the role with extensive experience in the government, industry, research and not-for-profit sectors and can collaborate, communicate, and translate across these areas seamlessly. She has an advanced understanding of the issues and challenges facing our sector and a proven ability to engage with stakeholders to work, collaboratively, toward effective outcomes and solutions for our members. Kat's strong strategic skills and proven leadership experience also mean that she brings an existing quality of credibility and mana to this important role.

We’re thrilled to have Kat onboard and are confident that she will ‘hit the ground running’.

A big welcome to both Stevie and Kat!
